Let's see...
The answers to these questions has been a life long quest for me. I do not, I repeat, do not have all the answers but there have been vital lessons that I have experienced from people, so called best practices that I have either tried on myself, or that have been tried by others on their patients. Let us grow together and study this gift called life and health.
There are always 2 sides to every coin. It is said that in architecture that one of the strongest structures is called a tetrahedron, having multiple sides which are bonded together so as to form a unit. Buckminster Fuller has proposed that a tetrahedron is one very strong unit. I believe that the health question needs to be answered using Tetrahedron solutions, not one sided but multiple-sided so as to arrive at a very viable solution. If it means combining Western and Eastern philosophies to arrive at that solution, then I guess it would not hurt the Northern and Southern traditions be included also. All cultures have something to contribute in answering this vital question and not be manipulated by Western thinking alone.
We cannot say that Evidence-based medicine is the be-all and end-all of health-care since that is only a part of the tetra structure. EBM or Evidence-based medicine is but part of the solution and will always be. This blog invites you to take a journey into wellness and to share it with other readers as well.
Come and let us raise healthy Filipinos!
