High energy levels through Healthy Digestion

"When I prayed for success, I forgot to ask for sound sleep and good digestion."

Catchy quote eh?  This site respects the process of digestion. This article describes the healing wonders of fruits, this article on digestion describes the "timing" on consuming fruits.

Did you know that actual digestion starts when you look at food that you want to eat? Many do not realize that the visual attention we place on a particular food gets the digestive juices flowing from within and starts the process of digestion.

Let us just say you were staring at this Jollibee billboard ad:

The visual representation and the excitement of getting a bite especially when one is hungry already initializes the digestion process.  Even way before the meat gets to the mouth and the money flows to the franchise empire of Tony Tancaktiong.

Digestion is the foundation of the metabolism of our bodies.  In its complicated process. the body produces the right amount of digestive enzymes to process the food that we are seeing, or in fact chewing.  Because of the intricate balance of these enzymes, there are many dogmas on the way we take in our food.

Some health buffs encourage eating fruits alone in a single meal, arguing that enzymes that are needed to break down fruits needs to be released exclusively.  The more popular habits of consumption are those that eat fruits at the end of each meal.

Other health gurus also advise not to mix the consumption of creeping and non-creeping produce of plants, saying that these 2 are not meant to be taken at the same time.

Based on my own personal experience, I have experienced that I get a lot of spasms and acidity by consuming a lot of white rice.  Heart burn comes to me quickly when I consume white rice.  I have also found myself having loose stools, minutes after consuming powdered milk. And I generally feel better when I have fruits exclusively for dinner.

On my quest to have high energy levels for my sales job and to have the strength to chase my 4 year old toddler, I have discovered that our digestive tract has both good and bad bacteria thriving within it.  The good bacteria known as pro-biotics keeps the bad bacteria in check and in place.  Pro-biotics keeps the flora of the intestinal environment flourishing in a sense and enables the body to assimilate the most out of the food that we ingest.

Proper assimilation of the healthy food we eat will boost our energy levels so that we are not too tired when we come home from work to attend to our families and spend time with them after office hours. When our food is broken down effectively, our body can then utilize the materials and convert them into useful energy.

In the next few blogs, I shall endeavor to write on good pro-biotic food that you can easily whip at home which I have been using.  These simple, yet effective approaches will enable you to cut down cost on buying commercial items that can be a pain on the pocket.

Watch out for the more!
